Stone Mountain

The next part of our Atlanta journey was a fun day at Stone Mountain. Who knew Stone Mountain had so much to do?? We were there all day and did not have enough time to do all we wanted. We started out on the kiddie ropes course.
Brooke was pro at this! She zipped through over and over and over again.
Then we took the sky train up to the top of Stone Mountain.

The view up there was gorgeous! The girls had a blast running around on the rocks and playing with their cousins.

This is probably my favorite picture of our whole trip.

We also explored the train ride, and a dinosaur tent, and eventually ended up in the crazy arcade house. It was a really neat concept where you play different games with foam balls and try to get as many points on your wrist band as possible. HOWEVER, a thunderstorm stole our power and shut down all the games. So what do you do when you're stuck in the dark with your kids and a gazillion foam balls?? Ball Fight!!! It was each man, woman, and child for himself and so much fun!

To escape the rain we grabbed some dinner at a Mexican restaurant that had a burrito challenge on their menu. Steve is all about food challenges lately so he was up for the challenge and Joe decided to take it on as well.

BEFORE

They're all smiles in the picture above, but those smiles quickly changed to groans and regret. The funniest part is that Joe doesn't even like Mexican food. He threw in the towel after a honorable attempt. The guys said it would have helped if the burrito actually tasted good. Steve persevered and just barely made it to completion.

AFTER
Steve made the burrito dissapear just in time for us to make it to the Stone Mountian laser and fireworks show.
