Zip Lining

I took the girls zip lining at the zoo this February. It was exciting for Brooke since she loved it so much the first time. But a real treat for Ali since she was finally big enough to go!

As you can see, she was just barely tall enough to reach the top lines, which meant to she had to work twice as hard to reach up and hold on, move her clips, and keep her balance. I was so proud of her.

Brooke takes off on her zip line swing!

Sweet girl with her sweet smile.

Peek a boo!

Butterflies!

After a trip to the Winter Park Farmers Market, Grammy treated the girls to a caterpillar from the Butterfly Man. The girls took good care of them, feeding them fresh leaves and checking them regularly for changes. Ali's turned into a butterfly first and she was very excited to let it go.

After she released it, her butterfly hung around our driveway for about 20 minutes, landing on the girls and disappearing for a moment and then reappearing to play with them again. It was so sweet watching their delight that this little creature didn't want to leave them. In the past when we've released butterflies they've always been gone in a flash. But this one was really special.

Brooke's made its transformation a few days later.

Love these pics!

Goodbye butterfly!

Thank you Grammy and Papa for such fun experiences!
