Brooke Loses Her First Tooth!

While her classmates were losing their teeth in kindergarten and first grade, Brooke was patiently waiting for her big day! It finally came in December.

And in true Brookie fashion, her creative brain went into overdrive. She set up tooth fairy sized chairs and a table with tiny little snacks on it. She also left a note telling the tooth fairy that she wanted to keep her tooth and told the tooth fairy to take the gifts she left for her (some tiny doll accessories).

Thankfully the tooth fairy made it to our house that night and let Brooke keep her tooth and some money. Her name was Flossy and she left Brooke a certificate for her first lost tooth.

Gingerbread Houses

Very pregnant mommy decided to forgo the big gingerbread house party this Christmas and opt for the small-scale gingerbread house gathering instead. We invited Brooke's friend Gracie over to help us continue this family tradition.

American Girl Luau Show

We have the girls enrolled in a Friday enrichment program at school called Ezone. They love it and so do I. It's an entire day of learning, disguised as fun! Ali is taking Backyard Science, Music, and Passport Around the World. Brooke is taking Creative Construction, Spanish and American Girls. After those three periods they get bussed to the RDV Sportsplex and take swimming lessons.

In Brooke's American Girl class they are reading the American Girl book, Kanani, which is about a girl from Hawaii. In the process they learn about Hawaiian culture, food, traditions, and more. At the end of the first semester the class put on a Luau show to share what they have been learning, perform a Hawaiian dance and share Hawaiian foods. The girls were great and my little hula girl shined!
