The highlight of Brooke's whole summer was definitely horse camp. Steve tried to get her in one last year but she was too young. She waited patiently for her turn to come this year and she loved every minute of it! Before camp started, we took her for a private lesson so they could get acquainted with Brooke's ability level and so Brooke could learn the basics of English riding.
Jumping Position
Oopsies! This was an exercise called 'Around the World' where Brooke had to rotate herself around the saddle 360 degrees to get comfortable with her balance on the horse.
At camp they practiced different drills and skills with the horses, learned horse care, grooming, the names of the tack and parts of the horse.
This was her favorite horse from camp, Charlie. She is still talking about him two months later.
