On April 11, 2010, Grandpa Schmitz turned 100 years old! What an amazing accomplishment! We wanted to celebrate him and honor him in a special way. Marie headed up the organization of an amazing party for Grandpa. Robbie put together an awesome slide show of pictures of Grandpa's 100 years. Marie shared tidbits from grandpa's life history. The food was great and everyone came together to pull off a great celebration.
We played John Schmitz BINGO, where the Bingo spaces were facts from Grandpa's life. Grandpa even won a round of the Bingo games!
Family members and friends took turns with the microphone honoring Grandpa with their memories and kind words. It was heart warming to see tears in grandpa's eyes, knowing that he felt honored by his special day.
