On Monday we had a farewell party with all 20 Japanese students and the host families. Each family got up to the microphone and told about their experience and what they enjoyed about their time together. It was a tearful evening and the first reality check that we were going to have to say goodbye to Kotomi soon. The students also read a thank you to all the families and sang songs for us. We watched videos and a slide show. This experience has been so amazing and I'm not sure what we will do without Kotomi. She has become part of our family.
