Ali started expressing an interest in having her very own pet a while ago. We wanted to make sure she was really up for the challenge and responsibility of having her own animal so we waited a while and tried to help her figure out what pet would be a good fit. Not long before Christmas she settled in on the idea of having a bunny and she got a rabbit hutch for Christmas! Steve did the rabbit research and picked a good breed for her, the mini rex. Shortly after Christmas, mommy, Ryder and Ali loaded up in the car and made the trip to Jacksonville to get Ali's perfect black and white bunny, Pepper.

Pepper has fit into our family easily. She lives on the back porch in her rabbit hutch and Ali visits her and brings her in the house every now and then. She's been a bit afraid of Pepper's claws but we're trying to figure out how to work through that.
The best part of the mini rex is their super soft fur! She feels like velvet. And pepper is very tame and gentle too. Bunny love is alive at the river ranch!
