Brooke's Fieldtrip to Channel 2

Brooke's class got to take a fieldtrip to Channel 2 after completing a unit on the weather. One of her classmates' mommy is a meteorologist there. We got a tour of the TV station and learned how the weather gets predicted and reported on the news.

A big highlight was when each of the kids got to stand in front of the green screen and see themselves on TV reporting the weather. I think Brooke is a natural!



Then the kids had an opportunity to sit very quietly and watch a live filming of the news!

What a fun day for second grade!
