Fun with Dry Ice!

I had a nice anniversary surprise waiting for me when I got home the other day. Steve had ordered a box of my favorite key lime ice cream bars and had them shipped to our house from the Florida Keys. They had to be packed in dry ice so I looked up from fun experiments online and tried to make the most of it before the dry ice was history.

We started out with Dry Ice 101 and compared the changes to regular ice and dry ice.

Now time for some fun!

This was the coolest one we did. We put a chunk of dry ice into a jar of soapy water. It made a snake of bubbles that kept growing and growing and growing! The girls were squealing in delight!

Gotta love impromptu science lessons!
