Happy New Year!

We rang in the New Year as homebodies this year. I typically like to go out and ring it in with the rest of the world, but Steve talked me into hanging around the house with the kids, and I'm really glad we did. We had a fire going down by the river, the kids played on the Wii that the Moloneys had brought, and when the clock hit midnight, we shot off roman candles and banged on pots and pans "DeMoor Style". Steve has great memories of New Years Eve parties at his house growing up. Every year we hear about how they would play games, eat St Louis sausage, have friends over, and bang on pots and pans until they were dented. After the midnight craziness was over we put the kids to bed and went out on the boat (don't worry, there was an adult at the house). Our crazy idea of midnight boating was quickly ruined with cold rain, so we made a u-turn and headed home. All in all, a great new years!
